Sky Cinema Action (116)
11719.50Mhz
Runaway Train (1985)
What Happened: Attempted to start another recording on DVR1 (Star Trek: TNG) while DVR0 was running on only 1 stable server with a ECM rate limit of 1. DVR1 stole the limited ECM slot from DVR0 causing it to use the shit Chinese fallback server and fuck the recording.
Lesson Learned: Never attempt to start a second DVR with a ECM rate limit of 1 without a stable fallback server. Alternatively just take the ban risk of setting it to 2.

Sky Cinema Action (116)
11719.50Mhz
The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
What Happened: Fucking Sun moved into satellite position and caused SNR to drop creating a continuity error and ruining the entire film. Same thing happened previous day with Top Gun: Maverick (2022) around same time.
Lesson Learned: Use a second tuner to record a backup stream or separate bigger dish.

Sky Cinema Action (116) and Sky Cinema Fun (8)
11719.50Mhz
The Last Samurai (2003) and Old School (2003)
What Happened: Twat fucking around with shit in living room again and tuned power off at plug socket.
Lesson Learned: Implement Twat mitigation and don't have main disk server downstairs.

Sky Cinema Fun (8)
11719.50Mhz
Flodder 3 (1995)
What Happened: Did not pay attention to short EPG slot time of 02:00:00 leaving insufficient padding to cover end Sky logo. Started 14:05:56, ended 16:05:08 and kill command executed 16:05:09. Film okay but almost lost it by just 1 second. DVR_HUMAN rand() function selected 8 seconds of additional padding.
Lesson Learned: Not much can be done other than to set padding higher but implementing padding relief for recordings with short EPG slot times that have correct length saved will help prevent it happening again.

Syfy (126)
12304.50Mhz
Star Trek: The Next Generation - In Theory (S04E25)
What Happened: "Star Trek: The Next Generation" series chain was broken up due to "Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)" on channel "Warner TV Film (140)" overlapped with episode "In Theory (S04E25)". Program ended 1 minute sooner at 03:04:01 causing last 15 seconds to be cut off.
Lesson Learned: Just manually cancel these shit low bitrate recordings when something high priority is compromised.
2024/10/31 23:00:00
Disney Channel HD (5500)
10802.75Mhz
Addams Family Reunion
What Happened: https://cardsharing.cx HD+ subscription deactivated at 11PM with no available fallback server as other shitty server wouldn't decode CAID 1830 (HD+).
Lesson Learned: Pay for next day if program runs beyound 11PM and record clear SD channel as a backup.
2024/11/24 09:52:52
Sky Cinema Family (139)
11758.50Mhz
Explorers (1985)
What Happened: Twat purposely switched plug off to server downstairs inside TV cabinet then couldn't get it up and running again in time for 10:10AM when Explorers started having to restart 1-2 times. Auto-restart worked but started recording at 10:12:03 which was 1-2 minutes too late.
Lesson Learned: Never have server anywhere Twat can find it.
2024/12/02 01:15:00
Sky Cinema Action (116)
11170.75Mhz
Friday the 13th Part III (1982)
What Happened: https://cardsharing.cx account ran out of credit @ 1AM so channel did not decode. Bitrate for film was ~9411kbps (~8700 for MP4).
Lesson Learned: Make sure account has sufficient credit and/or ensure a fallback server is enabled.
2024/12/19 04:59:01
Sky Cinema Family (139)
11758.50Mhz
Love Actually (2003)
What Happened: Went DD and did not pay attention to "Short Ad Break" warning so was cut short by next program "Stargate Origins - 104" staring at 05:00:00 +1min padding. Only needed +48 seconds to complete so would have passed (no ECM errors) if stopped at 05:00:00.
Lesson Learned: Add more padding to high priority channels and cancel shit low priority crap rather than try to capture it all.

Sky Cinema Family (139) and Sky Cinema Classics (107)
11758.50Mhz and 12304.50Mhz
Miracle on 34th Street (1994) and The Count of Monte Cristo: Episode 1 (1998)
What Happened: Woke up to go shopping and when placing junk bags on top of pillow they started to tip over so pushed them back knocking computer causing PCI-E to move and crash TVH. Only got 1:06:05 @ 8475kbps.
Lesson Learned: Make sure tuner cards are completely secure.
2025/01/12 20:49:00
Sky Cinema Family (139)
11758.50Mhz
The Truman Show (1998)
What Happened: Forgot to switch server back to fallback so no server was available when program started both being used other recording 300 (2006) on Sky Cinema Action (116). Was still in bed so and didn't notice until 21:15:00. Only recorded last 1:12:05 @ 10406kbps, no ECM drops or cunting Credits Insert (just typical).
Lesson Learned: Implement something to create an alert when a recording fails to start for whatever reason.
2025/03/09 13:00:00
Sky Showcase (142)
12382.50Mhz
Cliffhanger (1993)
What Happened: Tuner card wasn't working due PCI to PCI-E Adapter being disrupted in PCI-E slot at some point after 9:30AM. Either when taking DVDs from top of computer or moved blinds.
Lesson Learned: Implement something to regularly check that TVH is still responding.
2025/07/31 02:43:00
Sky Cinema Classics (107)
12304.50Mhz
Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee (2007)
What Happened: Carelessly deleted good recording (6.08GB, 6816.7kbits/s @ 2025-07-28T20:20:07Z) with ECM and didn't redo it before deleting due to lack of disk space on both server and client PC.
Lesson Learned: Need more disk space.
