Most people are working and can't bring their dog to work and not everywhere somebody has a dog care for your working time...
I grew up with dachshounds - not my choice I love big dogs 😜 - and the very first time I could adopt a dog was in 2009 when I was working only 4 hours a day...
Our crazy Daisy was love at first sight 😍😍😍.
She was just seven months old but a giant baby with almost 💯 lbs 😅.
Her dad was a St. Bernard and her mom a big Münsterländer a german hunting breed.
She was very funny and smart and she stole everyone's heart like a hurricane...
Sadly she passed away in August 2019 cause of cancer and she left back broken hearts and a giant emptyness....
But we couldn't be a longer time without a dog our home felt wrong and wasn't complete...
Some months later my husband was reading something of a animal rescue two hours away and they wrote they will get several dogs soon they 'd saved from a dumpster in Greece...
He wasn't telling me something about it and on a saturday we drove - allegedly - to a horse farm...
They had horses but that wasn't the reason...
He hadn't seen photos of the dogs at that time...
He told the runner of the rescue three things about a dog we would like to have...
1. No small dog maybe a little bit smaller than a Golden Retriever...
2. Must be compatible with cats 😅
3. Must like kids cause of our grandchilds...
And no must but better a boy 😊.
When we arrived there we were talking a long time with the runner and he showed us the beautiful horses etc.
He offered us a coffee and we sat in the big garden.
My husband was nervous but I don't want to ask him why in front of the runner...
The runner got up and said he would like to show us something and will be back in a minute...
Before my husband could answer my question why he was nervous we heard something running and like a hurricane Marley came around the corner...
What a shock !!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
He could be a smaller brother of crazy Daisy !!!
Black and white, many black dots around the snout and the same long fur and the same beautiful curled tail...
We were both speachless and the runner was happy to see our faces...
Marley came to me like we were long time buddies and he licked my hands and gave me kisses...
After about ten minutes he came to my husband but slow and checking his reactions...
He didn't like men cause the workers at the dumpster threw rocks and fire crackers at the dogs and tried to hurt them with a hay stack 🤬🤬🤬...
Needless to say that we left the rescue with him ❣️
He is such a sweet gentle soul and it was the right decision to adopt him !!!
Daisy will always be our number one but we love Marley very much and he deserve a good life filled with love and care ! 💝🐾💝🐾💝🐾💝🐾💝 |

I have all toy poodles so my poodles are as big as yours. My poodles are between three and 5 pounds full grown. They’ve all died from all their age except one. I once began caring for an old male cat, after 10 years of living with his litter mates and Humans, the Humans took him from his home, dumped him into a new place and then abandon him (along with 6 of his litter mates!). I took all of them in and began caring for them. Unfortunately, soon after moving in, he developed crystals in his bladder and I had to take him to the vet for treatment. Also, frightened strays aren't so chill they'll lay on their backs for you to bathe them like that with their bellies exposed. That is a sign that dog already trusts the person handling it.
