| 9 minutes ago | the dating apps absolutely hide profiles from you, and hide your profile from certain people. who knows what other trickery they're getting up to. i remember back in the day before dating apps were a thing and there were dating websites. you could literally look at all the profiles in a certain area, pick the ones you found attractive and just spam out messages... and guess what, it actually worked. i was able to get a few flings, and a couple relationships out of it. i even hit a couple homeruns with girls that were in my opinion, out of my league. i'm no chad btw compare that today with dating apps. they won't even let you see the people that liked you unless you pay. they openly tell you that if you pay, your profile will be shown to more people. i'm in an area with a lot of attractive people but the last time i used the apps(probably a couple years ago now) i would only see the most vile hamplanets, disfigured mutants, and boons. it would be like 1 out of 200 profiles were even 6/10 with a decent body and i already knew my like was going to be shuffled under the thousands of other likes she was getting. needless to say, it was a complete waste of my time. the apps are most definitely gatekept from top to bottom. | |
